I was looking at an X-Pen. It’s 24×36. Is that ok for my rabbit. The one I have is way too big and is taking up a lot of space.

is that 24 ft by 36ft?
Or is that in inches. If it’s in inches is that the size of each panel or the entire thing? How many panels is in it?

Most of the x-pens that I have seen are comprised of 8 panels, each 24 inches wide. Then they come in a variety of heights, from 24 inches to 48 inches. It’s usually recommended that you have one at least 36 inches high so that a rabbit can’t jump out. That size pen lets you have a 6 foot by 2 foot rectangle, or a 4 foot by 4 foot square, or a 5 foot diameter circle. I don’t think you would want anything smaller, otherwise it wouldn’t give a rabbit much more room than a cage.

That’s just what I was talking about. That will give him a good bit of space, but he will still need time out of the pen every day for play and exercise. If you have any kind of box or house inside his pen, watch how you position it. Some rabbits will use those to enable them to jump out of the pen. And even though 36 inches high is a good height, it’s not high enough to prevent some rabbits from jumping out.
