We are bringing home our 1.5 Mini Lop in about a month, and we are starting to get her room set up. We are planning on using a playpen, but I had a question about a cover. Her previous owners have mentioned that she can jump really high (has jumped on a pool table), so I’m worried she might try to escape. It is sufficient to place a sheet or blanket over the top? Or will we need to purchase a hard top cover?

You can try first with a blankie or a sheet. The type of netting you use to protect berry-bushes against hungry birds can work too. A top is good both to prevent escaping and to protect from birds of prey. But you still need to supervise in case your bun is a Houdini-bun and manages to pull the cover down.

I would try first with a sheet/blanket and some binder clips or some type of clip. It’s easy to undo and pretty sufficient. (my bun is nearly 9 pounds and can jump pretty high, and a sheet has worked fine so far. =)
