My baby bunny bugs needs a companion but I don’t want an older rabbit for him. Would it be easier to bond him to another baby his age?

They say to wait until a rabbit has gone through puberty to bond them. The rabbit’s personality can change and you will have to re-bond after the rabbit are older. I understand about wanting a baby bunny though. Right now I have a baby rabbit and a adult who get along, but I know I will have work to do once the baby is older and I am able to get him fixed.

Baby bunnies that get along usually will start to fight after a few months when their hormones arrive. So the initial bond is not a true bond unfortunately. Some may make it through this time and remain friends but most don’t. They would have to be bonded again as desexed adults.

Bunnies and cats make good pairs! I think if he likes the cat, and the cat likes him, then theres no need to get another bunny friend for him at this point. Maybe after the cat passes and after he is neutered

Aww. I agree with Mikey. Some cats and bunnies make great friends. It sounds as if he has company for now with his humans and kitty.
Just watch for those hormones as he may show more interest in your cat then you expect! Or has he already reached that age?

He hasnt reached that age, i havent had any of those signs, he bows his head with his hears laid back for me to rub his nose, but he tries to climb out of the cage when i open the small door and he sits on my shoulders under my neck while the cat is out doing his business
