More questions from this nervous new bunny momma. So Monte licks the carpet, everywhere. She’ll just wander around the room and randomly lick the carpet. She seems to do it the most when I’m petting her so is it a grooming behavior? And as long as she’s not eating the carpet, do I have to worry? Thanks all!

I read that when bunnies lick while being pet, it could mean that they’re enjoying it. I don’t know what could be causing your bunny to lick the carpet but as long as she/he doesn’t eat it, it should be fine

One of mine likes to lick random pieces of furniture and he’s perfectly healthy. When I first had mine I worried about everything, one time one had hiccups and I nearly took her to the vets Haha!

My Bunny does the same thing! But she won’t always do it when I am petting her, just at random times when she’s out and about the room. So unusual, but I guess maybe they like the texture? No idea. She even tries to eat the tassles on this one small throw pillow we have.. It’s sorta silky and she will just chew on them, but has never ingested any.

My bunnies like to lick the bottom of my ballet flats, which is odd to me but if it’s the same behaviour as a cat then they might be trying to soften it to chew on it? I’m not sure, my buns are odd.
