Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has bunnies that have different weird little “quirks”.
For instance, I have a bun (Luna) that loves the color pink! She loves anything I buy her that’s pink. This morning I tried to give her a different food bowl than usual. She usually doesn’t get upset except this bowl was blue instead of the pinkish one I had in there. She wouldnt touch it! She thumped threw her ball around and tried to flip her litter box until I put the pinkish bowl back in her cage lol! Then she happily started eating.

My rabbit Moxie, HATES cucumbers! She won’t even eat anything that smells like cucumber or has touched a cucumber that has been cut up. ha ha

Chewie hates spinach and loves headbutting any LEGOs that I build (I suspect it makes him feel big and powerful – he’s under 2 kilos LOL).

I remember reading about another rabbit that favoured pink like this. It’s so funny as they apparently don’t see colours like we do. So darn cute that she has this preference and lets you know when things aren’t suitably pink.

My rabbit Jersey ( now over the bridge) use to love the smell of tuna. If I was eating it, she would jump up and sniff around the bowl and my mouth.

I just read that apparently they can only see blue and green colors, but they may look different than how we see them.
Maybe she just really likes grey in reality??? Lol
I love hearing about all the cute rabbit quirks! My Missy likes to “kill” walmart bags. (I made sure she NEVER eats any of it!) But if she finds a walmart bag on the floor she will promptly attack it and shake it violently!

My favorite is that Missy loves to watch TV on my shoulder! But she only likes science channels and the big bang theory so far. She doesn’t like mythbusters unless they’re using explosives and she hates commercials!

Kraken is absolutely terrified of bacon. He will thump if anyone is cooking it and won’t come out of his hidey house until the smell is gone.
Jitters seems to really like music. She will settle down for a second if you are playing something she likes. You can totally tell she is listening which is quite cute.

Oh! I forgot to mention that I was watching The Curse of Oak Island with Missy one night and this really suspenseful part came up where a diver went missing and Missy was digging her claws into my shoulder because it was soooo suspenseful! Lol

My Jessie had music preferences. Now this was back in the early 2000’s, and I was a teenage so I was listening to things like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and Panic! at the Disco. When I tried to listen to anything different, I was met with very angry thumps. She was a quirky bunny.

I always thought it was so funny how Wooly carefully picks things up and places them to the side, while Leopold grabs things and throws them.

I sit in my rabbits room to put my make-up on in the morning. If I have a cup of tea sitting on the floor with me Bun Bun will drink it but, only if it is peppermint tea. Also he hates carrots.

                                    Chewie does that too. LOL

If I happen to have dinner on a tray while watching TV, he’ll get up on the side table where my mug of orange juice or whatever is, and he’ll just stick his whole head in and help himself. It always tastes better from mommy’s mug.

I was eating something that was sort of like chexmix out of a bag and Luna just casually came over and stuck her whole head in my bag and took some!
She didn’t want to eat it she just likes taking my food apparently.

I just figured out that Phoebe will only jump in her loft bed if her blue blanket is in it. I had 2 other blankets in it while I was washing her blue one and she completely ignored the bed all together. The second I put in her blue blanket she jumped right up. Funny how they know what is normal and what isnt!

There is evidence that suggests bunny eyes can see blues and greens.

Bruno is a power drinker. She drinks water so fast she always ends up with water up her nose, then spends the next few minutes sneezing and snorting it out. This is a regular occurrence for her.

                                                What a great thread. Fun!

About 85% of the time, When I am on the couch, Aria will give a quick “hummmm” and thump just before she jumps on the couch to join me. I don’t know what that is about! Don’t know if she is warning me or if she is anxious just before she jumps (as she can’t easily see what she is jumping up onto).

                                                It’s the weirdest thing!

I like to think that Aria is simply a very courteous bun and is letting you (the giant hairless bun) know that she’s about to engage in precipitated locomotion. Since we all know that bunnies often startle easily.

I use to find Gooseman sleeping up on top of their cardboard box like this a lot.

This was at my old place.

Then today, I found him snoozing at the top of the ramp, butt hanging over the edge. It was hard to get a good pic, so here’s half a dozen of mediocre ones instead.

                                                       photo image_zpssqm0h4b0.png

Potamus says “I got your back, Goose!”.  Actually,.. she was just waiting for me to get the pellet container down.

I think I woke Goosey up. Sorry dude.

The word in the background says “Balance”. As demonstrated by Gooseman!  I normally have cardboard covering the flooring there but I had taken it out to replace the night before. I think that is why he decided the ramp was a good place to hang in the meantime.

And not a bunny thing but still…

One of my guinea pigs, Choco, goes through phases where he sings like a bird. When I rearranged the dining room prior to Podge arriving, he serenaded me the whole time, while I chatted back, telling him what I was doing and why. There doesn’t seem to be much agreement over why some piggies sing, but Choco just seems to get times where it’s as simple as it’s what he feels like doing. The most recent time was around April 3rd or 4th. It was the first time my younger son had been around to hear it, and he said it was a shame it hadn’t been a few days earlier, as it would have made a great story to tell on April fool’s, as no one would believe it!

Any possibility you could get a video of him doing this?? I never knew some piggies could sing. That sounds super cute!!

He was totally fighting off the slow burn by occasionally sticking his face in the mug of iced apricot nectar next to the curry bowl.

Two days ago, I got into a tug of war with Thor over the empty wood stove pellet bag he stole from the bin :/

I got one of them (Kimber) in the corner of the cage while I was cleaning it and I was sitting in there just playing with her in the corner and two of the other babies (Cory and Ash) came up behind me nudging me and pushing on me and nibbling at me! I think they thought they needed to save Kimber lol!

Whenever the babies get in trouble I take them and make them cuddle with me for a little bit as punishment (they rather just keep getting in trouble! Lol) I had Ash and she was cuddling with me on my bed and she didn’t want to get down to play so she was with me for a long time. All of a sudden Diesel, Cory, and Kimber jumped on the bed all at once and came to save her from me lol! They nudged my hand I was petting her with away and rescued her from my awful cuddles!

But sometimes the room gets cold so I grab a big faux fur blanket and drape it over myself and he LOVES that thing, hopping around it, hopping on it, climbing over me, I think it might be a cloak of invisibility as far as he is concerned!

He got stuck between the cage and a box that was suppose to keep him from trying to jump up there! He was so scared and embarrassed lol. (He didn’t get hurt of course). He usually doesn’t like being picked up, but he let me pick him up without a fuss so I could get him unstuck. I sat him on my bed and he promptly thumped and jumped off but then he came back and decided to sit on my bed and rearrange my blankets and stuff. He didn’t want to be away from me after his terrifying experience! Lol!
