        Im thinking of getting another rabbit, right now i have a ( 4 Month old ) Californian Buck. if i get another boy which is a Flemish Giant would it be safe to put them in the same cage? i have a 2 story cage

          I’m afraid not. 2 intact bucks are known to fight viciously.

          They are also both large breeds and will need a lot more room individually.

          I would suggest waiting on getting a second rabbit until after your current one is a bit older. He’s a “teenager” and around this time, one is a handful! Their hormones can make them a challenge. Are you experiencing any of that yet?

            I keep the cage open the whole day while im here i forgot to mention that… and no i havent experienced any problems hes an awesome rabbit very very well tame he doesn’t cause me any troubles.. but maybe i will wait just in case

              No. If you want them to share a cage, youd want to buy a new cage after they are both neutered have have successfully bonded. The cage is your current buns territory. Nothing good would come out of putting a new bun in there

                It is generally thought that it’s easier to bond a neutered male to a spayed female, but you can bond same sex rabbits. They must be spayed or neutered first, and given time to recover and flush all the hormones from their bodies, which takes around a month.

                    That’s a great looking cage, I’ve not seen one like that before. Rabbits love levels. I bet he sits up the top a lot.

                        Thank You!. no i didnt build it that way it was my son’s mothers and she gave it to me for $30 but he eats & sleeps at the top all the time he just goes down to the lower level to rip up paper and playand jump out the cage.. i keep the cage doors open all day long while im here so he has the whole room to play in..
