When Tuppence came on the scene and the whole fiasco with baby bunnies started, Casper mysteriously stopped using his litter tray. I had thought it was stress. Maybe confusion. Maybe territory related or maybe he had suddenly become ill.
Seeing as Casper litter trained himself initially (OCD blind bunny who keeps everything in a set place) I was a little concerned about retraining.

Today the exact cause of the litter trouble revealed itself to me! I spent a good hour watching the rabbits rather than interacting with them. What was Caspers litter tray, it turns out, has been claimed by Tuppence as her bed! No wonder the poor boy has been so confused!
I put another litter tray in the cage and immediately Casper jumped in it and did a very long wee. Best part is: Tuppence is starting to copy him and is no longer weeing on my cushions!!

Leopold got peed on once when he refused to get out of the litter box. Wooly jumped right in there and when Leopold didn’t get out of the way, Wooly was like “fine, I’m peeing anyway”. LOL

I’m glad you found the cause of the behavior change and that it was so easily solved. Poor Casper. I suppose being blind makes him a little less assertive in situations like this.

I’m glad you solved the mystery and it’s great that his good habits are rubbing off on Tuppence
