I have a 9 month old recently neutered male (2 weeks ) And I was planning on getting him a companion.

I was hoping to adopt a 3 year old female who was previously used to breed.

Would she be to old for him or would it be an idea to attempt to bond them? ( I know I have to wait for his neuter to heal before I can try bond them etc)

sorry if this seems like a silly question! All advice and input welcome!

I would love to think you could…. it’s all about chemistry rather than age isn’t it ?…. atleast I hope so.

There’s no problem with that, you just need to consider that the doe will obviously pass earlier than your buck which would either leave him alone for several years unless you adopted another

              Is the doe spayed now?

                Thank you for your replies!
Yeah I know the doe will die before my male, but I figure it’s rare animals will die at the same time anyway (having had both pairs of cats and dogs who’ve died years apart)
She’s not spayed yet no. It doesn’t seem to be that common to neuter rabbits in Ireland from what my vets have told me
