I’m Stephanie! I have recently gotten a bun (I think shes a bit of a mixed breed) named Emma! I’m still at the point of googling almost everything she does, but I’m getting the hang of her personality and traits (:

And today I’m going to rescue what I will call an ‘Easter Bunny”. A friend of mine got her kids Easter Pictures done at this studio where they had a Netherland Dwarf as a prop. And I say prop instead of pet because she is kept in an extra small dog crate with nothing. She gets a handful of greens each day and pellets and not much else. The studio owner told my friend the bun is getting to be too much to handle and wants to give it away so of course I jumped on the idea. I’m a little nervous about the shape she’s going to be in when I go get her. From the pictures I’ve seen she looks really thin.

I’m ready to be super patient in the bonding process, hoping it goes as smoothly as possible. The dwarf is a bit older than my Emma so I’m getting ready to strategically plan the spaying process.

Thus far, I have loved the bun mom life. I plan on eventually letting them free roam, once I get my house bunny proofed!

If I’m on here everyday asking questions, be patient with me!

I’m so happy to be a part of this community!

          Welcome Stephanie : )

We certainly don’t mind questions here. Gives us more chance to talk about bunnies!

Be sure to keep your current rabbit and the new one that’s coming separated initially. Just until you have the sex confirmed and health assessed. Good luck!

Hello Stephanie and welcome to Binky Bunny!

You may have already seen these articles on bonding, but if not, I hope that they are helpful to you.

                Hi Steph and welcome!
Thank you for rescuing an Easter bunny! But don’t introduce Emma and new bun until you know for sure what sex they are, because bunnies do multiply eagerly.

If that’s Emma on your avatar, she’s beautiful!
