I’m not completely sure which topic to post this under, but does anyone elses buns poop while sleeping? Haha, bit of a strange topic i know.

Pops was in a deep sleep and i was watching him since he twitches and bobs his head.. next thing i know, while he’s still asleep, his tail flicks up and a little poop popped out. He didn’t even wake up from it! He must have been having an excellent dream about something to not notice haha.

Just curious as to if anyone else has seen the same thing?

Btw, he is toilet trained and always uses his litter tray.

I haven’t noticed Chewie doing this in his sleep, but sometimes a noise or sudden movement will literally startle a poop out of him, as will a particularly relaxing massage from his mommy.

Yes, Spockie did this when he was older. It’s kind of surprising, but I guess it’s not all that unusual. (Or we had two unique bunnies.)

Moshi is the king of sleep poops. I’m guessing that with him being deaf, he isn’t started by noises and gets in such a comfy sleep that a poop or three just pop out over the course of his daytime sleep!

I’ve had rabbits that rolled out a few poops when they were sleeping. I also had one rabbit that peed when she fell into a deep sleep. Evidently, everything in her body, including her bladder, relaxed when she fell asleep. Fortunately, she slept on thick towels placed on top of the carpet.

                  Haha, thats hilarious!

I wonder why? Maybe because theyre just so relaxed and dont realise (since buns are poop machines).

                  Tobyluv, aw the poor thing!

LMAO Lily mostly sleeps in her cardboard house, so it’s hard to tell. This is such cute/funny subject though.

Q8bunny, haha what a cutie though!

Ive only once caught Pops farting and he looked over at me like he knew what just happened and had the most embarrassed look haha.

I know! When he’s awake and toots, my little guy looks mortified and then usually busies himself with something like digging or his snack corner. They’re never stinky toots, though. Probably because his mommy feeds him good stuff. lol
                          Buns are so stinkin’ cute!

Ugh, I wish Butternut had some remorse over her farts. I’ll be in the kitchen and hear a low “brrrrrtrtttt” and I look over, she has this look like “Ah yeah!!!! That was a 10!” Lol.

Omg. tears just started coming from my eyes!
All are great but Butternut…. haha I literally wiped tears.

Btw. I still haven’t heard my buns do that. And far as poop goes Redford used to sleep poop in my arms when he was little one.

Sure, but we already established that Butternut is pretty much a dog, and you know dogs are shameless farters.

Butternut that is amazing!! Laughed so hard.

Bramble sleep poops 1 or 2. She also drools really heavily when she’s in a deep sleep. If she’s flopped on my lap watching TV, I’ll move an hour later to find a huge slobber puddle! We were worried it was her teeth at first but nope, she’s just icky!!

Omg butternut!! That’s hilarious! I can just picture her with a little satisfied grin.

Aw, Bramble must be in the deepest sleep! That would be so cute to see!

Chewie indulges in a casual slobber when I’m nose-to-nose with him. He purrrs happily and does his thing. lol

This whole thread had me in tears, haha! I’ve only caught Boople in a fart once, and it was silent but deadly. Good Lord.
