My 4 month old baby boy bunny Gizmo LOVES chewing on my french doors and along baseboards, and now he has his 2 year old (non-biological) sister doing the same.  Bunny see, bunny do!  I have heard Grapefruit Seed Extract may help deter them from this behavior, but I have not read if I am supposed to dilute the extract with water or just place it on the areas I want them to stop chewing as is.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Citrus can be irritating to the airways. A couple of rabbit-savvy educators had discouraged me from using citrus when I was looking for tips and advice to add to the Bunny Proofing Section of this site. What I have found works wonders for areas that they do not walk on is ivory soap. Aria used to love to chew on the bottom of a wooden cabinet and rattan base. I rubbed ivory soap where she chews – solved the problem. If you find your bunny still chews on it, then you will need to clean it off and try something else, but give it a try and let us know how that works!
