  I have and older house rabbit (i.e. he has free reign of the apartment when I’m home and I’m home often). I had him neutered as a junior. For the last year he has been displaying A LOT of sexual behavior: erections, honking, circling and mounting. Also he’s wetting on my bed which he never did before. The wetting seems very intentional and not like he couldn’t get down or hold it. For example, a couple of times he did it when I went to move him. I’ve tried putting him the potty box before we hung out on the bed but that didn’t make a difference. He also digs on the bed which he really didn’t do before. I don’t know if all this behavior is related but it started about the same time. Nothing has changed in the household. It’s just him and me, same apartment and routine. If anyone knows why he’s doing this and what to do about it, I’d greatly appreciate the information.

  My eldest neutered male had a kind of re-lapse after he’d been neutered for more than a year, he started acting hormonal primarily by insisting on pee-and poop-marking the dog’s spot on the couch. It happened during early spring so I suspect it was the increasing lenght of day that set it off (pineal gland and all that). It subsided without intervention after a month or so though.

  I found myself asking similar questions a couple years ago. My then 7 yr old neutered buck was showing hormonal behaviours. He is now 9 and still hormonal!
  I looked around online and other owners have experienced it too. It can be (but not always) due to a problem with the adrenal gland apparently.
  
  I do agree that they are affected seasonally also.
  
  ETA: With most the other cases I’ve come across, the rabbits seem to be around 6-8 years of age when this starts.
