i’ve been trying to switch Harlow over to new food since the person i bought her from only have me two  med ziplock bags of pellets with no idea where or what they were. I got her a big bag of food from my local store (store brand) and ever since i introduced it she will NOT touch her food! She’s still eating her hay, but the bowl has been full for 2 days now. and i’m seriously concerned. She doesn’t drink much water as i thought she would which i think is weird. She is still eating her hay, running around and pooping still. I also noticed three small pee spots on my blanket where she was laying by me that smelled god awful so I’m wondering if that is just her marking her territory or what. She has been spraying my walls. Mainly i’m worried about her not eating.

i emptied out her dish tonight, i filled it for her last night and still it looked untouched. She is drinking fine, i hear her a lot during the night which some people say is annoying but it’s soothing to me so i don’t mind it.
Tonight she got a bowl of JUST the pellets that came with her, so i’m hoping it encourages her to eat but i don’t have much left and i’m worried i wont have any to ease her into whatever new food she gets. :/

mix the old and new pellet together?
return the bag you bought and try a new brand?

You don’t have to be super-worried if she eats plenty of hay and poops. Hay will keep a bun’s gut going, hay is the most important feed for a bunny, so if she just eats hay, that gives you ample time to get her started on the new pellets. Did she eat the old pellets when you gave her only those?

I’m guessing your breeder were feeding her some type of alfalfabased pellets for show bunnies. That type can be a bit difficult to get in small packages since breeders buy it in big sacks. Could you call your breeder and ask if you can buy a bag more of it so you have enough for a very slow transition? Show bunny pellets are generally a bit richer than what us house-bunny owners like for long-term maintenance of an adult bunny, but young buns need rich food.
