As some of you know Olly does not like being handled, he needs a good brush, I found in my PC fan a lot of his fur, he does groom himself, I’d like to be able to groom him, but he gives me the ‘Don’t you dare look.’ then goes into his cage pulls his fur out and makes little nests, when I go to check him he just goes back to being his loving self and kisses me.

How can I keep him calm to be brushed?

Have you tried taking him into foreign territory? I don’t have good luck trying to groom in my rabbit’s space. I bring her into the bathroom and do all the brushing and nail clipping in there. She’s confused a bit bc she doesn’t ever go in there in her own and it helps keep her in her best behavior.

I have to brush mine on the table. They hate grooming.

I always took Bandit outside for grooming and popped him up on a table, it stopped him escaping, kept him somewhat distracted being in a different environment and had the added benefit of the loose fur just floating away instead of piling up inside the house while brushing
