My rabbit didn’t eat his pellets this morning, he has since ate some hay, watercress and dry dandelion mix however he hasn’t pooped since. Is he constipated? What can I do to help? :-/

This is not a good sign. Especially if he always eats his pellets in the morning.

If this goes on through the night and into tomorrow morning, take him to the vet. They are normally open only until 12:00 noon on Saturdays. He will probably get a GI stimulant or some other laxative. We had the vet give us a lot of meds to keep around so the minute we see this treatment can start so ask for extra. Sometimes if you catch it really soon stasis can last only a few hours, if that’s what this is.

In the meantime you can go to the pharmacy and get baby gas drops and a feeding syringe, we use 1cc syringes. They probably have a baby feeding syringe at the pharmacy. Wrap him up in a towel and squirt 1cc of the baby gas drops in his mouth. The vet says he cannot overdose on this stuff. There is no OTC pain killer to my knowledge, so do not give him any other human medicine.
