I’ve put my hand beneath Chomondeley’s chin, a sign for “Groom me,” and he gently nibbles my fingers. I can feel his teeth, but I don’t think he’s trying to bite me… is that good? Does it mean affection?

Young bunnies tend to explore things with their mouths like human babies so that’s my guess. Although, it might be affection, who knows.

Porky will nibble as part of grooming, but never on bare skin, just when he encounters clothing. I think he interprets clothing as matted fur, since he will nibble also when he gets to my hair if it’s tangled at all. He only licks bare skin and untangled hair parts.

My previous bunny Nibbles, nibbled as a nervous habit. It was occasionally painful when he was really upset.

Thank you Eepster and LittlePuffyTail… that makes more sense. Eepster, Chomondeley also nibbles my clothes, which I agree is part of grooming. It’s not painful when Chomondeley nibbles, but I can definitely feel his teeth. He nibbles my knuckles and my toes generally.
