I have 3 rabbits. Pixie and Popo came together at 8 weeks old and are as thick as thieves. They are just over 2 yrs old now. I rescued another baby bunny last month, Poppy. She’s tiny, bit of dwarf in her. They got on fine in the beginning, little wary but no aggression. They big 2 run around freely, I have Poppy in a large dog crate in the same room as the other 2. They get on fine in the living room but not in their room.
I noticed tonight Poppy has a sore eye and I’m worried they have bitten her through the crate. She puts her face down under their chin and they groom her. Pixie is gentle with her, but Popo goes for her some times. Pic of eye below. It looks red and sore and swollen and I’ve caught Pixie licking it. Time for the vet? Or it there a way to clean it at home with saline or something?

It does look like she’s been bitten. One of my bunnies got a bite to the eyelid last Christmas. My vet didn’t think we needed to come it (but they were probably very busy since it was Christmas). She told me to rinse the eye with saline (normal eye-wash for humans is fine) and put on plain neosporin (polymyxin B) cream and to do this once or twice a day until it healed. I used a plastic tooth-pick to apply the cream

My bunny’s eye looked way worse than yours though, so you might only have to rinse with saline twice daily, but keep a close eye on it.

And then of course make sure they can’t reach each other, because they can really do serious damage =(
