        Hey!

I know there are a few posts regarding this already but I wanted to try and get some advice more specific to my situation as I really am growing concerned.

So I got a kitten! She’s about 4/5 months and full of energy. She seems sweet at times… except when she wants to play with my bunny (Binky). I’ve had Binky 3 years now and he’s my little man! He runs free in the apartment and has his cage and generally just hops about sleeping and eating..

When I lived with my sister she had 2 cats and they would snuggle with Binky and he would chase after them and I assumed they all loved each other! This new kitten is not exactly the same.. She will get hyper and swat at him! He chases her off sometimes but he’s never had to be scared for anything before! I never leave them alone together, she’s in the bedroom when I’m at work or night.

I give them both an abundance of attention.. but she really scares me when she swipes at him! I can’t risk her hurting him and I really had hoped she would be nice and get along with him. She has a TON of toys as does he so it’s not boredom, she just wants to play I think but she can be really rough.

Am I perhaps being too neurotic and protective over my little bunny?! When she does swat at him I yell NO and give her a ‘time out’ alone in the bedroom. However she doesn’t seem to care or learn as she tries again. What can I do to stop this behaviour? Have you had the same situation and what worked for you? I understand it’s her instincts and she’s young and wants to play but I just can’t have her hurting him. Please any advice would be really helpful!

        Thank you :] Ellie

If i were u i would seperate them with like a pen or something so they can see each other and then i would take it step by step to get them warmed up because it will get them used to each other or just take time to introduce them
