        Hey everyone! I have returned!

I joined these forums a few years ago, When I got my first bunny Chloe!

Well , Chloe and I have been doing amazing, but we just got a new friend this week!

This bun is also female, and they have been doing well together.

(a few grunts from chloe here and there, but I figured this would happen)

I keep them apart when Im not home/at bedtime, just to be safe..

But for about the past 20 minutes, these two have been taking turns humping each other

They are both female… Is this .. normal?

Chloe has also been laying her head on the new bun.

Around the Neck area behind the head, She doesn’t seem to be biting, and the new bun seems okay with it… Is this something to worry about?

Right now they seem to be circling each other (Following each other’s tails.)

Sorry for all the questions! I just dont want them fighting xD

Hi! I moved your thread to the Bonding-section, because it is a bonding-issue.

What you are describing is normal rabbit behavior when two rabbits are trying to establish a relationship. It can result in fighting if they can’t decide on their respective roles. When a bun puts her head on another buns neck, it is an act of “dominance”. If the other rabbit complies, it’s fine. If the other rabbit doesn’t comply, they have not resolved their issues. Both want to be “top bunny” so to speak.

Monitor them, if they get into more serious fighting, separate. Take a time out, then try again. Sometimes stress-bonding is very successful. It’s basically about putting the buns in an uncomfortable situation like in a running car or on top of a running washing-machine, together in a box or basket. The idea is to get them to seek comfort in each other in a scary environment. This doesn’t always work immediately, so it’s recommended you are two persons (at least if you do car-rides, one driver and one who manages the buns), and that you wear gloves.

I hope you will get many more tips from other people who have experience with bonding bunnies. You can also try to find older threads about bonding here, where people tell their bunnies’ bonding-stories. Are your bunnies spayed?

            Thank you @Bam!
            Yes, They are both spayed!
I got chloe done about 6 months after we got her, and the new bunny Khaleesi was already spayed.
(or so they said, they can’t find the paperwork on her) But she has a vet appointment next week!
