Today I came across a photo.. A photo of my first ever rabbit. That’s when I lost it.

It all happened about 7 years ago. We had adopted this absolutely adorable grey dwarf who was so tiny and would lie perfectly into my palms. He was always very timid meeting new people, but once he got to know you, he would willingly let you stroke and cuddle. I named him Aurora (due to me thinking he was a girl!). I stuck with that name because it suited him.

Anyway, we put Aurora in a hutch outside because it had turned summer. On the same day, a dog got into the garden and caused him to have a heart attack. I went to go feed him the next morning with my mum, but she saw him lying there still.. not moving at all. She rushed me inside and told me he had ran away with his bunny friends in order to spare my 9 year old feelings. I eventually found out about his death a few years ago when my mum told me. I really wished I was there when my mum and dad buried him. I didn’t get to properly say goodbye.

        RIP Aurora.

Aww. Look up the quote in google images, “Meet me in the Light” I think it will help you out a lot.

So sad. How kind of your mother not to tell you the truth. Even if you’d have wanted to say goodbuy, your mother tried to spare you grief.

Aurora sounds like he was a lovely little boy.

            Binky free, Aurora.
