I know larger breeds (such as Flemish Giants and French/English Lops) are much more docile than smaller breeds (Dutch/Holland Lop) and lay around more however it also seems like the bigger the bunny the bigger the damage (one bite on a floor board or carpet by comparison does more damage).

Has anyone had both and can tell me?

One of my current rabbits is a New Zealand, which is a fairly large breed, and she is very destructive. My other most destructive rabbits were medium size, a Dutch, and a Rex. They were all females. My male rabbits, various breeds, have always been less destructive. All of my rabbits are or were spayed and neutered.

My female flemish loves to chew the walls if she’s not properly distracted. She does lay around quite a bit and lives with her bonded male friend, who isn’t destructive at all, a lilac, considerably smaller in comparison. With enough hay and boxes, she’s quite happy to limit her destruction to acceptable things, but I wouldn’t rule out floor boards or digging carpet if they are diggers (mine isn’t).
