Recently my baby bunny has started to thump when I open the cage and when I hold her she digs at my skin and bites me too.( She doesn’t do this to anyone but me.)  I’m not sure if she is trying to assert her dominance or what? She is only 8 weeks old we have had her since she was 5 weeks. (too young I know, but she is gaining weight and seeing the vet in the new year) and she has only just started doing this, how can I help make her stop? I’ve tried squealing, it only stops her for a moment then she starts again? any ideas?

sounds like she is scared / territorial issue
give her more roam time and feed by hand maybe?

Bunnies generally dislike being held. They often tolerate it as babies, so she probably didn’t mind it when you first got her, but now that she’s growing up she is less OK with it.

Let her hop out of her cage on her own, and snuggle up to her on the floor where she is comfortable.
