        Porky got his foot caught in his hay rack. We’re at the er.

        I’m going to have to borrow money from my dad this time. Husband lost his job a couple of months ago and we haven’t really even finished paying for the last trip here, which I put on the emergency credit card.

          Just talked to Dr. He is getting pain meds and then being sedated for his xrays. He’s going to spend the night.,, so he can be on stronger medication than at home. He may lose the leg. Won’t know for sure till X-ray results are back.

            Oh dear! I hope Porky will be alright! How did he get his leg caught? That’s so scary.

              Oh dear!! That’s kind of your dad to help out, and I’m glad you made the vet trip happen even though it’s terrible timing for you.

              Sending {{Healing Vibes}} Keep us posted!

                That’s awful, Eepster. Poor little Porky and terrible timing =(

                Keeping my fingers crossed that he gets to keep his leg. ((((((Porky))))))

                  Dr just called with the x-ray results and it looks like it’s not broken so he should be keeping the leg and coming home tomorrow. Now I can try to get some sleep.

                      Oh my gosh! I would never have thought that a bun could lose their leg just by getting it caught. Poor little Porky. I hope he recovers quickly and you can get some good rest!! {{{Hugs}}}

                            He’s home with pain medication. He can’t go in his condo though, he isn’t supposed to be going up and down levels and needs to be in a relatively small confined space.

                                    Oh Eepster! That’s just awful for you both, I’m so sorry you both got that scare. But what a relief! I know Porky will still be sore for a while, but that’s ok when you consider what he was facing. Thinking of you both always. And your son – I know Porky is his pet. This would have been terribly upsetting for him too. Hug’s to you all!

                                      Update: Porky’s doing much better today. He periscoped for the first time since the accident, though he was using the bars for support. He’s limping a lot less too.

                                      He’s been great about taking his medicine. I don’t know if he’s figured out it makes him feel better, or if the flavoring the pharmacist added is just really good, but he laps it up and tries to pull the syringe out of my hand when I give it to him.

                                      I’m not sure how I’m going to know if he’s ready to go back to his normal living space.

                                      Thanks everyone for the vibes.

                                      BTW: Good to see you Andy, I hope this means your browser problems are almost fixed and you’ll be able to be a regular again.

                                        Glad he’s doing better. What a scary situation.

                                        I imagine a little after he stops limping he could go back? Can you call and ask the vet?

                                          Glad to hear that he’s better! I too think it’s best to ask the vet about when he can go back to his normal space.
