My rabbit is 6.5 months old. I got her when she was 3 months old from my sister whose rabbit had babies.

Her behavior is good for the most part, but there are time where she grunts, scratches and bites for no reason. For example, she’ll be on the couch with me and all of a sudden she grunts, then starts scratching and biting at me. And I’m just sitting there. Didn’t do anything to provoke her.

I have another rabbit, who’s at least 6.5 yrs old and I hadn’t experienced this behavior with her.

        Any ideas?

Have you tried bonding/are they bonded the rabbits? She might smell the other one and be jealous.

I let them spend time out of their cages together, and they get along no problem.

              Is she spayed?

I recognize the behavior you describe from my bun Yohio who could lunge, box and growl for “no reason” when he was younger. I think it was insecurity. He loved being pet, but could suddenly lunge, then put his head down to be pet again. Such behavior probably makes sense to a rabbit, to a human it seems very strange. It stopped as he started to trust me more. Now he only attacks the broom when I’m sweeping.

Some buns need lots of time before they trust a human.

She is not spayed yet, but will be.

Yesterday I had both out playing, and she went after the other one, pulling out clumps of fur. This is the first time it happened, and my older bunny was just sitting there when the other decided to go after her.
