As some of you know, I am a DJ online and chat room moderator, I want to get cheap disco light projector to project on the wall where Olly isn’t (Not where his cage is) would it bother him if he did see it? I used to DJ at parties with a rabbit on my knee and it never bothered her, she used to sleep on my knee then near the end the main hall lights would come on and the bunny used to be in my arms and we would have a dance with the children so they could look at bunny, but that bunny was trained before I got her in the entertainment business, she was on loan on a Saturday night because the dog I used to borrow from security was ill, this is Olly’s house and don’t want him to get upset as he is not trained for entertainment.

I imagine he won’t like it, but it may not be any worse than the flicker of the TV in the family room where my bunny lives.
I would suggest you have a hidey place that he can go into, where he enters opposite the lights, so that the back wall of it is solid and blocks all the lights. I’m thinking of the kind like Oxbow sells, or a box with only one side open so it can be pretty dark if you’re inside it. You can test him with lights after that, to make sure. If it really bothers him, then let him stay in another room.

I’m betting it’s a personality thing. Like how some humans get claustrophobic in small spaces, and other humans find them cozy and secure feeling. No way to know till you try it.

It could also be a hearing thing. I have a deaf bunny who isn’t scared of loud noise. Lights don’t bother my bunnies. It’s definitely and individual thing.

I’d think it would bother a red eyed bun, just cause their eyes are more sensitive to light. That said, Willow doesn’t seem to care about lights. We have a string of Christmas lights that we sometimes set so they are twinkling on and off and she doesn’t even act like she notices.

Loud noises don’t bother her either..though certain sounds do. She doesn’t like the sound of metal clanky stuff. Loud music or tv she doesn’t seem to care about.
