We were trying to figure out about how much Willow will weight when she is done growing.    She is about 14 weeks and a  few grams from 4 lbs.   She’s a double coated lionhead (mostly probably lionhead and some mini lop..and who knows what else) and seems pretty big already, I think.   I’m guessing the smaller breeds stop growing a bit early compared to larger breeds.   I’m also not sure if she’s already gone through her biggest growth spurt.    We kinda think it would be cute to have a huge lionhead, haha.   We don’t really favor a certain size, but we are curious as to what to expect.

four pounds at fourteen weeks! Wow! I couldn’t help you predict, I haven’t ever weighed one as they grow but I’m guessing you are in for a big bunny. I’d say they are nearly done at around 6 months, but will fill out a bit more after that.

I’m thinking she will be decent sized, just no idea how big. Blackjack was my only other housebunny and he was full grown and over a year when I got him. My husband saw her Dad and Mum and said the Dad was a huge looking lop and the Mum was smaller than Willow who was supposed to be 6 weeks old. (we had no idea that 6 weeks was too young, my research I never even looked at babies cause I didn’t expect to have one)

She looked pretty much like she did in my profile pic. Now she has the more pronounced hair around her ears, face and shorter down her back. But she is growing like a little weed. It’s kinda exciting. She can be a flemmish sized lionhead if she wants, haha.

Hmm, my Moxie was about 3(?) pounds when I got her at 8 weeks old. She weighed 8.5 pounds at her last visit but I’m pretty sure she has gained some weight now that she’s been feeling a little better. So I’d say she’s a little over that.

Don’t know if that helps or not though.

thank you. Sounds similar sized to Willow. I think when I weighed her at 8 weeks she was around 3 lbs, maybe a little under. Moxie is similar colored to Willow now. Willow was lighter when we got her but has been changing pretty rapidly over the last several weeks. I’m thinking Moxie is angora right? Willow has the dark short hair and the long hair is grey..and some crazy white hair here and there mostly the long hair on her head. I was looking at pics of your Moxie shedding out and was like…whoa thats what we get to look forward to haha. So glad that when Willow see’s her metal comb she comes running and gets into pet me position. She loves that comb.

Zouzou weighed 2.5 kilos (5.5 lbs?) at 12 weeks and now weighs 6kg (13lbs)…. LOL !!!
I reckon she stopped growing at 12 months.
I suppose the ‘breed genes’ say something to “stop growing, you’re a big boy/girl now” !!

I tried brushing Zou last night for the first time…. she was interested at first and when I was brushing her ‘wide’ back she just melted and went all weak at the knees… LOL. I wondered if she thought I (the brush) was a male…..? A bit like when you scratch a dog or a cat on the back near the tail…..?? Who knows?

4lbs is already big for a lionhead. It really depends on what kind of lop she is crossed with. In general though crosses are harder to predict. My best guess is she will probably only gain another half pound to one pound maybe.

Rabbits tend to be mostly adult size at 4 months, which she is very close to. Most rabbits are totally done by 6 months, the main exception being giant breeds. She should be most of her length and height by now, and you will only see a slight filling out.

Thank you. Her Dad was supposed to be a mini lop and I think those are a little bigger than the hollands. But then I really have no idea what she might be mixed with. Her head shape is much different than the more flat holland type or a lot of the lionheads. She’s got more of the longer type faces under her massive amount of cheek fur. She is definately a big lionhead and all that fur makes her look even bigger.
