i just tried to upload an image but it says "invalid file type." so i think that means it doesn't take .bmp files?

It does take .bmp files.    You can upload pictures two ways.

1.  upload pics from your own computer: Use the "Photo Attachment" feature below where you write your text response.  (it might also say "Message Attachment"

2. OR if you have a picture stored some place else - photo bucket etc.  then you will click on the little image icon (mountain and sun) in the toolbar.  And in "upload image" you'll copy the your image URL and press OK (not browse server)
You can find out what the URL is of any picture online by right clicking on the picture: There is a section that will say "properties". You will want to copy and paste that url.

I know having to do it in two different places is a pain, and we are also adding that to our list of things to fix.

Let me know if you need further help.   Good Luck!

grammyb - welcome and thanks for asking!

Yes, we do allow SIGs, but we do have rules regarding them:

Signature Content: To keep signatures, avatars and profiles from becoming promotional billboards do not  post business names or brand names in them. Do not post links or website addresses anywhere within your signature, avatar and/or profile, unless it's within BinkyBunny (to a blog or particular forum thread is fine)     If you have “your own personal” website or host type site like myspace, facebook or livejournal, there is actually a URL section in your profile to post this.

Signature Size:  Personal pictures and graphics should be no larger than  200  pixels wide, 100 pixels  high.  Text should be no more than 100 pixels high.   If you use graphics or pictures, please do not link them unless it's just to the photo provider like Photo-bucket.com

For more information about the rules, check out the FAQs & Guidelines section in the forum.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions about this.

I just emailed you back and asked if you would send me the image, that way I can see what is wrong with it.

yes, it does take jpg, but if you are uploading from your computer you may have to shrink it down and then use the "message upload" below the text box. (you'll see it when you post)
