        Hey Everyone,

There is chat about us getting a second bun.  We have a large (but not overweight) holland lop.  He is probably 5.5lbs.  We would love to get him a friend.  We currently have this hutch indoors.  We decided on this because it fits nicely in our living room.  Since our current bun is extremely well behaved he gets a lot of time out.  Probably 6+ hours a day since the hubby and I work odd schedules.  However if the second bun is messy there will probably be less freedom. This is only because we  would only let them out when closely monitored.

In my (personal) opinion, It looks small but I’d be more concerned about the quality…There were several comments claiming it was cheaply made/unsturdy and some claiming there were chemicals on it that killed their rabbit…I know I am a worry wart but I’m hesitant to purchase products with those sort of comments. Sorry to be a party-pooper!

We already own it! Lol It hasn’t had any issues indoors and we repained it with non toxic paint!

The size doesn’t look too bad, depending on how much time they are in it. though it may take a while to bond them so you are going to probably need something else for at least a little while.

I have a dog pen for ours currently, but we would like to make something similar to this at some point. http://wabbitwiki.com/images/thumb/3/38/Hutches-to-rabbitat1.jpg/275px-Hutches-to-rabbitat1.jpg We can then reclaim some space above the cage.

It is a bit on the small size, especially for two rabbits if they’re going to be in there the majority of the day. If you can manage to squeeze in a few extra hours of outside of the cage time, it would probably work. If you find your second rabbit is too messy to leave out for long, you’ll definitely want to upgrade the cage as soon as possible or add an x-pen or something to make more room.
