        Hey,

Are there any gardeners out there that know if bunnies can eat spinach once its bolted? I have a few plants that seem to have shot up overnight and now the leaves are a bit to bitter for humans and I didn’t want to see if sally would eat it until I knew it was safe I’d hate for them to go to waste.

        Thanks

Spinach is OK to feed, but it’s one of those veggies that should be given in moderation. Were you planning to mix it with low oxalic acid-content veggies like lettuce?

If the spinach is bitter, your bun may not want to eat it anyway. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to offer it though. Mine will eat spinach, but only baby spinach that is tender and sweet. They are rather picky though.

I’ve never given her too much of it, it’s normally just a quick snack while I’m cooking with it myself.
Haha, they can be pesky little picky eaters sometimes, but sally’s always been a big spinach fan.
I gave her a couple of leaves last night and she didn’t seem to mind the bitterness, so I guess you’re right, can’t hurt to offer
