I’d love to hear what everyones rabbit loves most to sleep in, or do they prefer the open?

I notice Willow never sleeps in a hide while in her pen.  She is usually on this plastic cat bridge, the span is carpeted and she usually hopes up on it to sleep.  I’m thinking she is just wanting a position to be able to notice if I open her door.

Outside her cage, she might flop anywhere to rest a few minutes while playing.  If she is going to sleep for hours though she goes to sleep usually on the second story of this large cat house I have that is in my husbands closet.

Where does your bun like to sleep?

I made a cube of leftover nic grids and put it in her cage. She likes to take naps on top of it. If she’s going to go in deep sleep aka dead bunny flop , she would just sleep in the middle of her cage on the cold tile. She’s not into hides at all.

Mine only have a willow tent with a carpet under in their pen so they will huddle under that.

Outside the pen they will either flop out in the open, along the wall ( think person with back to the wall in a bar, lol ) or nap in the other willow tent, maze or tunnel.

Mine likes to snooze during the day (outside cage) in a little cave I made for him out of the base for a papsahn chair and a blanket. At night I’m not sure.. my husband gets up first and says he often sees him on his perch, in his litter pan, or sitting in a bare corner of the cage. He has a little bed in there but doesn’t sit on it much that I see…

My two spend like 90% of their time sleeping in their little cardboard box houses. Just cardboard boxes with blankets in them and a door and window cut out of them. Of course, they have been bunstructed to fit their unique style.

I have one mini lop who’s favorite place to sleep is on a plush, flat, dog bed outside of his cage (aka my profile pic haha) and I have a lionhead whose favorite place to lay down/sleep is on a little shelf inside of the cage.
But I would say my mini lop’s favorite place to hide is underneath a slanted folded up make shift table. It acts like a sort of hideaway. Basically the shape of it looks exactly like this https://store.binkybunny.com/ton-o-fun-bun-run-tunnel-p36.aspx haha. He uses it as kind of a triangular hideaway. Rabbits can so creative, making hideaways/toys out of the oddest things.

During the day, Chewie does most of his deep sleeping on top of the linen box under my bedroom sofa (or under the living room sofa if I’m on it with a book on weekends).

In terms of impromptu flops/naps, he loves to stretch out on my bed or behind one of the large indoor-tree pots.

At night, he does most of his snoozing in my bed, but if he gets too warm up against my ribs, he’ll hop on his IKEA doll’s bed (which is at the foot of my bed lol). Yep. He’s a snuggle bug.

My bun prefers to lay beside something rather than inside of it. He also enjoys corners. He has a box, but he doesn’t lay inside it, only runs thru it. His newest favorite spot is on my bed which I absolutely adore.

My bun only sleeps in his cardboard box whenever im not there, or early in the morning when im about to leave the house. Otherwise he will flop on his pluche blanket and outside his Xpen he will just flop wherever he wants, but mostly in my sight!

Ru can be found lounging under my desk about 60% of the time. Its a large wooden desk with full sides so only the front is open. one half of the front has a pull out shelving space leaving about 6 inches before the ground. I chills back there and where my feet go because he has a full view of the room, plus he can still get petted

When Jax was restricted to the kitchen he always slept in a specific corner. I thought he would appreciate a softer bed and put a small pet bed there – well he let me know he didn’t like it by peeing and pooping on it. I removed that and put a small seagrass mat there which he seemed to like. Since he has become a whole house bunny we created a combined side table/den for him and this is where he always sleeps now. Usually he sleeps under the shelf part.

My rabbits live in a large run in the backyard, and although we’ve given them plenty of huts and hidey holes, they prefer to sleep underneath a bush we have growing in the corner. They stay there for most of the day, as a matter of fact, unless I come out with treats or a new toy.

Several places depending on time of day and if I’m home or not.

If outside and wet, daytime sleeps are up on the second floor of her bunny mansion all nice and snug.
If outside and dry then she sits with her front legs up on a separate level to her bottom and seems to sleep for ages like that….. and that is underneath a coffee table.
Indoors, ‘one’ has a preference for megaflopping against the sliding glass window (cool) or laying upright dragging feet out behind on the carpet……

Any other freetime is spent bunstructing anything in sight….!

Tycho actually sometimes likes to take little naps on the windowsill like a cat would. He’s actually pouting this week because I put shrink wrap over the windows for the winter and he can’t lay up there anymore (even though there is a pillow RIGHT THERE so he can still see out.Just isn’t the same *bunny pout*) If he’s out playing and wants a little nap he just flops wherever he is but doesn’t stay long. When he’s ready for a real sleep he always goes back to his pen even if playtime isn’t over. In his pen I take the grocery circulars (large newspaper pages) and clip them to the side with clothes pins. He has gotten very good at getting them to fold and lay just right so he makes big newspaper tents and THAT’S where he likes to hide and rest up! <3

But, his top 3 fav spaces are: 1. underneath the coffee table; 2. behind a mattress; 3. underneath the chair.

During the summer, he experiments and we’ve found him in the strangest places (hallway, kitchen… I guess because of the tiles) and now he likes to chill by the radiator!
