Has anyone took their bunny on a long flight? Currently I’m in germany and we will be headed back to the US this upcoming year, and I don’t plan on leaving my bunny here. But, trying to find out how to get her home is stressful. She hates cars, so I have no idea how she will do on a plane! And plus, I don’t get to pick the flight we are flying back on, so I can’t much plan on being able to take her at the same time we go. I’ve been looking into programs like Deltas pets first? Has anyone used it or something similar? &&Any ideas on how to get my bunny ready for such a travel?

I know how it feels to have your question go unanswered. I have no experience with flying and bunnies so I can’t be of any help there. My mother fly’s with her dog and puts it under her seat in the cabin. I don’t think I’d leave the bunny to travel by itself personally, i think that would be terrifying for her/him.

I’m sorry noone has answered, Hunter. I’m guessing it is because noone has the experience, people here are often eager to help with stuff they know something about.

I’m thinking the same as Bunluv about trying to find a flight where you can take your bunny with you in the cabin, in a carrier. Your voice and your scent will be comforting to her.

Here is a little info on pet air travel in case you haven’t found this yourself:
