            Hey!

Not to be mean, but this is not tickling and could be bad for your rabbit. He/she is putting their paws up to protect their throat. They think you’re attacking them. I’ve met rabbits that feel very comfortable on their backs, but only when being held by someone they trust a lot. Most rabbits do not like it, because it leaves their throat and face vulnerable.

Yeah you are right natno. Lancelot seems comfortable when I hold him like a baby. Guin twitches like she doesn’t like it and is concerned. (I only do that when it’s time to trim their nails.) But yes, it’s not a good idea to hold rabbits on their back in general. It is scary for them.

Well, today I had 2 of my 4 on their backs to trim their nails. Their paws definitely went up. Which was handy for me. Snip snip snip. Back down on the ground.

5lbs, 7.5 lbs, 7 lbs, 6.5 lbs. The 7.5lb rabbit is really large – about 15 inches long when she is sitting hunched up. I use bunny burrito wraps..
