Oh my goodness!! My 10 week old Mini Lop X buck began humping his sister this morning! The woman I got them from suggested separating them at 10 weeks, so I am all set up for that, but she implied this was early and to be safe in case sexual maturity began at 12 weeks. I know the smaller breeds can reach sexual maturity younger, but 10 weeks? Really?

          It’s nature for you lol

Quicksilvers “love parts (lol)” hadn’t even dropped by the time he started, but I think it’s just something that has to do with instinct. It’s also possible the person you got him from was not accurate on his age

Lol thanks  Oh well, we’ll just all have to live with it for another couple of months I guess.

I do have birth certificates for him and his sister and facebook confirmation. Guess he’s just “the man”.

              LOL, the man!!

The physical act of humping is a ready-made motor pattern that is “automatically” generated from brain-stem centers, so de-sexed rabbits can hump too, even if they have no sexual intentions. F ex in bonding-situations, de-sexed bunnies will often hump to establish domination. But your little man is probably hitting puberty or about to hit puberty.

                Thanks Bam

After the humping incidents, I did recall seeing him circling Tansy a couple of day before and he did bite my toe lol.

                This is an adventure!
