Hi! My bunny Gus is around 6 month old. I’m thinking about going to the vet to get him neutered. The problem is that one of his testicles seemed to not able to descend properly. The vet that I went for check up is charging me 450+ for the neutering and probably more for the surgery. I’m wondering if you guys have any recommendation for exotic vet near the North Chicago area. Thanks!

There’s a vet I take my hamster to called Gold Coast Animal Hospital I think it treats rabbits but I’m not sure.

I used to live in Madison WI.

It’s a bit of a drive, about 4 hours, but my old vet would charge $150 for a neuter.

Yeah the vet hospital in Madison is awesome. My bun goes to Small Animal Hospital in Milwaukee. Still a bit of a drive but closer than Madison. My vet is amazing and the prices are fair.

I go to midwest bird and exotic animal hospital. in elmwood park. bit of a drive but worth it. I had to get my previous rabbit neutered there and i am pretty sure it cost under 300. but any neutering if his testicle does not descend will be more expensive (than a regular neuter) since its a more complicated surgery.
