So Moxie’s been doing this behavior for a while actually. I’ll be sitting on my bed cuddling her (normally I’ll be doing something else as well), giving her pets and kisses. But as soon as I stop (even if it’s just reaching over to plug in a charger) she’ll start violently digging at the bed while making growling/grunting noises (It kinda sounds like lung congestion but the vet said she was just growling. It only happens when she gets mad like I groom her or take away “her” food). When I start to pet her again she’ll stop digging and the growls/grunts will fade away, and sometimes she will tooth purr.

Just a couple minutes ago I had to stop giving her cuddles because I had to plug in the laptop charger (I was still sitting next to her, just not making physical contact) and she started digging and growling after about 30 seconds of this behavior she hopped away and into her homebase growling/grunting but it stopped when she ate. Now she’s nudging my feet grunting. Is it because she loves me and wants more attention, she’s mad at me for some reason or could it be something else? Any advice/input would be very much appreciated!

        Thanks so much in advance!

The only time either of my buns has dug or growled at me was once when I forced Pumpkin to snuggle on my chest on the couch. I refused to let her down and she was pissed! My guess is that Moxie just wants non-stop love and attention!

Thanks for the in-put LLH. Moxie is currently laying pressed up against me with my hand resting on her, and I’ll give her little scratches on the chest. She is toothpurring and dozing off.

It means she’s a spoiled rotten brat. She doesn’t like when she doesn’t get what she wants. I have one of those types too. I call her Olivia.

Ha ha, okay good, as long as she’s okay! Thanks LPT.

BB used to start chewing on the couch if i had to stop for a bite of food or sip of tea, which I learned to do one handed. Never heard him growl though.

It’s very bad form, Moxie, to stop giving pets and kisses to a bunny unless the bunny has explicitly informed you that you are free to stop. It just isn’t done.

My Bam tends to bite people if they stop petting him. Rather hard, too.
