        Hiya all,

My only other forum experience was on a 99.9% male-occupied one for a specific make and model of a car and they had a long standing and forever updated forum topic so when someone discovered a new gadget on/in their car, they shared it …(sounds strange but it was quite cool, especailly if you hadn’t already discovered it on your own highly gadgeted Japanese car!! lol).

So I wondered if a similar topic would work here, sharing the bizarre or fun things our own rabbits do and seeing if it’s a one-off action or general…..  if the topic takes off then great, if it doesn’t then it will go over the “topic rainbow bridge”…

        I guess I’ll start….. lol

Today I discovered my bunny goes into a trance when I stroke the top of her front right paw, but the front left one is too tickly and she has to lick it afterwards and shake the tickle off (or atleast that’s my human interpretation of what she’s doing !!)

And today I discovered my bunny could open my sliding double glazed door (actually quite heavy!) with her mouth if I leave it open only 1cm (by mistake!). I’m going to enter her in the World’s Strongest “Man” contest (disguised obviously!) to pull a truck with her teeth.

Go on! Share a cute thing your bun’s done today before clicking on another topic …

          Sounds like a good idea.
Well we didn’t discover today anything new but we have this bit weird thing that we do.
My bunny likes to play bull arena. I take a pice of a cloth or anything really and shake it. Then hi runs into it and jumps with his front pows ahead and take it down.

Today I did discover something new about my bunny Yohio, he can do zoomies inside an upside-down cardboard box. The box in q is about as wide as he is long and 1,5 as long as he is, so there isn’t a lot of room, but he made zoomies work. He is a rather fat bunny, I should add. Not a tiny agile youngster but a big fat yellow soon to be 3-year old.

              I love this thread!

Yesterday, my friend discovered that my bunny can eat her flip flop while it’s still on her foot without her even realizing it! So my bunny is obviously a stealth model.

And not a discovery, but my bunny likes to play football (soccer) with a small beach ball – usually at three in the morning. He’s quite good, actually. lol

Today I discovered that my bunny can jump her 3 foot xpen. After removing all things that can be climbed on, she can still jump the pen.

I’m torn between being impressed that a tiny lionhead can jump that high and a little horrified at how we are going to contain her little furry butt.

Today I discovered my bun is making it a sport to jump on the couch or bed, sprint, and land inside the litter box.
I was wondering why all the litter was outside the box in the morning… well now I know.

Niamian : brilliant !! I can just imagine it – I wonder what his natural instincts are telling him the cloth is and what he thinks he’s doing? – I can’t believe he thinks he’s playing bull…!! LOL

Q8bunny : I had to re-re-re-read your post more than several times to realise the words “my bunny can eat her flipflop” meant it was your friend’s flipflop and not the bunny’s flipflop…. ! (and yes I KNOW bunnies don’t generally wear flipflops – unless it’s a special occasion! – but I just couldn’t read the sentence any other way)

Mimsy : did you not know bunnies and kangaroos are of the same species…..??!! lol

@VBF well I have no idea, but I really think sometimes he’s got some dog in him. Oh and he adores to play with the everything hanging from the drier. He just runs around some shirt or nudging it with his head so it would swing.

@Deem I’m quite familiar with that one too.

Mimsy: OMG! I still can’t get over the overwhelming cuteness of your diminutive but bouncy furbaby.

Vienna: And they let me teach English! lol While typing, I was giggling while remembering the flip flop nibble, so I wasn’t paying too much attention to clarity of writing. Looking back at my response now, I totally see how you’d picture Chewie wearing his special occasion flip flops.

                            @ Mimsy

Mine are in a 42 or 48 inch pen. It was mainly a precaution to keep the cat out when it was only BB. Josephine however can jump from the floor to the top of the couch in a blink of an eye, so three feet would mean nothing to her. It seems the smaller and lighter they are the higher they jump ? I could be wrong about that though.

Not today but the other day, I discovered that my bunny can pack a powerful bite. Not such a good thing but I can’t believe how much it hurt, I still have the bruises. And I’m sure they were only warning shots too. I’d hate to have her really go for it. Ouch

Also not today, but a while back I discovered she likes playing a version of peek a boo, where a cover her face with cloth and say “where’s Boonie?” and she tries to get the cloth off but then I have to take it off her and I say “there she is” and repeat. She’ll keep running around trying to get under the cloth to do it again and again and again haha. Then she’ll run off and binky then come back for more haha so cute

It is adorable, I can even do it with my skirt if I’m wearing a long skirt.
                                  It’s so funny

Albus is even worse for scavenging than George. Over the last two days he’s – tried to climb into the bin (no small feet for an animal as tiny as him), ran off with the salad bag and binkied around with it (I let him for a while because it was just so funny, until mummy the spoil sport came along), had to be physically restrained so he didn’t eat my risotto, tried to eat chips and ran away with a mushy peas lid.

Today I discovered that Olivia likes chinning baby toes. Everly (human baby) took off her socks and Olivia went over and started super chinning her little toes. Everly just giggled and giggled. It was a “should have taken a video” moment.

You guys may be on to something about the lighter they are, the higher they jump. Black jack was a rather large bunny, but I realize now that he was kinda a potato rabbit.

Ms Willow is going to keep us on our toes! I binder clipped a tapestry across the top of the pen. (30 large binder clips later and I think we got her) Bunluv, this is an old pen I had for my paralyzed ferret, and then later for old ferrets that couldn’t use a cage. Otherwise I think I would of gotten a like floor to ceiling model, haha.

Loree, I so want to see a video of Bonnie playing peekaboo, so cute!

This morning I discovered my bunny has decided (after 18 months!) that to walk on slippery tiles isn’t so daunting and so found her at the other side of my kitchen (the side which isn’t bunny proofed) !! Looks like my Saturday will be taken with DIY in the kitchen today !! LOL

Today I discovered that when at full stretch vertically on her hind legs, Zou can poke her nose and whiskers up on my kitchen table when I’m sitting at it… a bit like the dog does when sniffing out a good meal….
It was a bit of a surprise the first time (however the preceeding pair of ears appearing out of nowhere gave her away before her nose came into view !!!!)

Vienna, my goodness she must be a big bunny!

I’ve told here before about how my bunny Yohio gets in almost daily fights with the broom, always ending with the broom getting knocked over and a victorious bunny. The other day when I was sweeping and Yohio as usual attacked the broom with his fists and teeth, I experimentally raised the broom and started petting Yohio’s head with it. And Yohio instantly melted to the floor and let Evil Broom groom him!
I repeated it the next time I swept the floor, the same thing happened.
Since then, there has been no fights between bunny and broom in the hallway (I can hear the fights from where I sit at my writing desk), no broom knocked over, no angry growling bunny.

                                                        Bunnies are just fascinating.

I didn’t see this thread the first time around, so I enjoyed reading through it.

He will nudge my dad out of the way until my dad has moved. Then jump on his pillow and just lick it. He will like it for a good half hour. My dad is just stood there not knowing how this happened!

If my dad isn’t in it, then he isn’t fussed and will go back downstairs!

So I gave her a nibble of carrot which he never likes when I’ve offered it to him over the last 2 years. He saw her eating it and knew he wanted some. He ate a good chunk but if I offer him when she isn’t near by then he won’t eat it!

I have fun pooping his ears up, smoothing them back down, then doing it again lol. He’s such a patient bunny.
