Hello everybody!  So I’m not the biggest “Builder” out there to say the least lol, so I was wondering if anybody knows how to build a base for an NIC cage/condo/homebase? I’m thinking about building this one:

(Sorry if it is too big) Any suggestions? I feel like if I just plop it on the floor it won’t be very sturdy…

When I had that as my cage, I used a dog replacement tray. You can also use the coroplast or title.

I’ve got a rubber mat under mine, I had trouble with the gaps between the tile because I couldn’t find an appropriately waterproof surface on which to adhere them.

Structurally, I think it would hold up with lots of zip ties, however if you wanted a base you could zip tie an nic cube base and then fit the flooring in. Could be difficult.

Porky’s is just plopped on top of a office chair mat. Nothing structural. It works fine.

Okay thanks for all the input guys. I’m just a little nervous she might *somehow* knock it over…I might try and build a board to hold it steady just in case.
