Snoopy is a 1 year 7 month Holland Lop rabbit. We got him from a little pet store when he was 4 months old, and he has been litter trained ever since. About 3 months ago, we noticed that he had started to frequently pee on his favorite shelf in his pen. So we took it out and the problem was resolved. Now he is peeing on the mini-rug that we put his hay and water bowl on. When he pees on it we either soak it up with paper towels or switch rugs, but it is becoming quite the hassle. I’ve noticed that some of the pee splotches aren’t big at all, while others there is a lot. I am afraid of taking the mini-rug out in case he pees on the main rug (because once a bunny marks their “scent” on something, they will continue to pee there). He still uses his litter box most of the time, but about once every day or so he will go on his mini-rug. He is pooping and eating normal so I don’t think it’s health related. Is anyone else experiencing anything like this or have words of wisdom? Reply for any additional information if needed!

Have you been using a different litter in the past few months? How big is his litterbox?
Have you ever seen when he pees on the rug? ie. lift the tail and deliberately pee. Or is it just wet after he’s been sitting or laying there?

Is Snoopy neutered? Does he have a water bowl? Because Snoopy might be doing what my bunny does, gets all wet and goes to dry himself off.
