So we all know about dog people and crazy cat ladies, but can talk about rabbit people for a second? Like first of all, I think we may know a little bit too much about poop… XD

What other things do we do that other non-bunny people just don’t get?

Greens! We know what those weird greens are. We know fennel, endive, chicory, turnip greens, mustard greens, we appreciate dandelions!

Haha! I know what you mean. I’m not even a huge salad eater but I know exactly where to find the greens I need. My shopping lists often look like I eat healthier than I really do. I will also stop and pick dandelions when I see a good one (Don’t worry I wash them). I’v even tried to grow my own dandelions for the winter. Those suckers will grow everywhere you don’t want them to. Haha XD

Haha!!! Yup, we are poop and green experts for sure.

Most of the veggies I buy at the grocery, the cashier has to ask what it is. I always get a weird look when I’m buying a huge bundle of dandelion.

I find that so many bunny people are more compassionate in their lifestyle choices. Probably because loving such an exploited animal really makes you think.

The weird looks we get when we say we have bunnies. Nine of them. Most people look confused and say “why?”

Baby toys/items make great bunny things. I was at my friends baby shower recently and kept saying “oh, that would be fun for the bunnies” When Harley was so sick last winter, we had to feed him baby food. We got weird looks from other shoppers as my husband and I walked back and forth saying “bunnies like green beans, right” ” I wonder if they like pear” lol

Non bun people do not understand the soap opera that is life with bunnies. We call our house “The buns of our lives”. There is always relationship issues, illness, prison breaks, love affairs, remodeling. It’s nuts!

Oh my goodness, nobody understands how it is to keep a pet indoor rabbit! When I say my rabbit eats fresh fruits and vegetables they look at me like I’M the one uneducated! When I say I bring my rabbit to the vets people don’t understand. When I went through all Moxie’s health issues people (not family member though) asked why I’d spend all that on a rabbit. People try to offer me advice, like stop feeding hay to her ect.
Luckily I do have 1 friend who had a rabbit a while ago, but she loved her rabbits to death so she kinda understands. She loves petting Moxie and comments on how she’s “like a dog”. I’ve even asked her if I could go pick dandelions in her yard! That’s how you know you have a true friend.

The grocery guy reminds me to get lettuce everyday !! When she sometimes stops pooping and i start worrying and everyone around me is like ” its just poop”
Not everyone knows bunny tummies! Everyone thinks bunnies are farm animals here. When i tell people she lives inside , the first question is ” does she poop everywhere “. Little do they know bunnies are awesome.

Dandelions actually grow really well in winter. I find the biggest plants in the shady areas of my lawn. When I see a large field of dandelions, I think bunnies, and bees (my boyfriend has bees).

My family is still amused that I have a pet rabbit and the is litter trained/free roamed in my room. I looked up online to see what having pet rabbits says about us and all it came up with was rabbit owners feel to be more creative/whimsical. I looked up multiple websites and that is all it said. There needs to be another study about rabbit owners.

I remember trying to fight weeds in my garden (dandelion, ground elder), and it now seems perfectly absurd. Since getting rabbits, I’m happy to see dandelion and all other weeds a bunny can eat. I’ve even decided to sow plantain next season, but I need to collect seeds now, I hope it’s not too late. It’s apparently extremely healthy for humans too.

                                Totally agree with u guys.

I grow most of my greens now but when I was buying them, all the time I’d get “what’s this” and people saying “gee u eat so healthily” and I’d just nod like yeah yeah I do.
One time I was buying kale and the checkout lady asked me what I make with kale, and I was like I don’t like kale, it’s all for the rabbit hahaha

I get weird looks at garden places now, cos I’m always asking them for strange plants that I use for herbal remedies for Boonie, or certain house plants that are rabbit safe or even just those weird salad items I used to buy, like endive, chicory and radicchio.

And anyone who comes over my house and sees a rabbit running down the hallway, is shocked, there’s a rabbit loose in the house whoa!!

Cardboards another thing. I’m always after big boxes or other bits for her to play with. Anytime someone goes to throw out something cardboard I’m like no wait my bunny would love that

And BANANAS! How could u eat a Banana without giving some to a rabbit, or at least thinking about a bunny. Imagining that “banana butt twitch” and laughing to yourself and then everyone thinks you’re weird hahaha

BOXES, lol! Everyone at work thinks I’m insane because I always take “bunny-sized” cardboard boxes…I have a person-sized stack of cardboard in my laundry room, lol. And I ask people for old catalogs and magazines for Toby to shred, which they think is odd. I also live in an area where rabbits are just farm/meat animals, so people always think it’s so bizarre that I have rabbits loose in my house.
