Hi everyone! I work at a public library, and we have a little display out in the foyer that changes every month. With the holidays coming up, I thought I’d do a rabbit fact and care display, since so many people purchase rabbits without knowing much about how to take care of them. The only issue I’m having is a lack of decent rabbit books to put in the display. Everything we have at our branch is around a decade old (yikes).

Do any of you have recommendations on books I could purchase that have decent, up to date rabbit care information? I’ve also been trying to find a rescue group near me that I could get pamphlets from, but no luck so far.

Good for you! That’s a great idea!

BB carries great books https://store.binkybunny.com/books-c13.aspx3 and I can’t recommend this one enough https://store.binkybunny.com/rabbit-health-in-the-21st-century-2nd-edition-by-kathy-smith-p50.aspx

This book is a decade old (from 2005), and you may already know about it, but I think it’s a good book – A House Rabbit Primer by Lucile C. Moore. A newer book (from 2008) is one that she wrote together with Kathy Smith – When Your Rabbit Needs Special Care.

Thanks guys! My supervisor agreed to look into purchasing more up to date books for the library, I’ll make sure these make it on to the list.

Great of you to take this initiative.
I lost some really good rabbit medicine PDFs when my laptop crashed.

Rabbits for Dummies is really great. It taught me that I was doing a lot of stuff wrong with my first bun.
