So, my 4 month bunny is constantly nipping me. She nips my legs and arms and hands and feet. while in get ready i the morning for work, she pulls my pant legs and scratches them all the time. She digs on my arms too. She bites my family and my boyfriend. when she does i scream to show her that it hurts but she doesn’t stop. I then will pick her up and redirect her. if I’m on my phone, she will bite my phone or my case or even pull it out of my hands.I give her plenty of attention and love and so does my family. And she gets plenty of free time and running around time. I’m getting her spayed on Tuesday but I’m afraid that she will still be aggressive with me. what am i doing wrong?

You are probably not doing anything wrong. It sounds like she’s nipping for attention, not from aggression. Spaying her may help. (But it will take at least a month after the spay before her hormones have died down completely!). But most of all she will mellow with age, bunnies do calm down and become more sensible when they become adults. Right now your girl is like a combo of a crazy puppy-dog and a teenager. Be patient and protect your stuff (never put good bags or shoes on the floor where she has access, put cable-covers on all cables she can reach etc). And try to provide her with plenty of toys and stuff she’s allowed to destroy (old newspapers, cardboard boxes, twigs and branches from apple and willow, wooden chew-blocks etc.)

My rabbit has only ever done that exact behaviour when she became hormonal until she was spayed
            It seems like sexual frustration.
By the way I had wrote that before I saw you were getting her spayed so I’m not just saying it

Maybe give her a towel to hump instead of nipping you to wear herself out?
              Sorry if that sounds crude?

My male Lancelot nips me for attention and for food. He is neutered. I don’t try to teach him not to nip me… I make sure to give him plenty of cuddles and salads 🙂

You can’t teach them not to if they do it after neauter/spay.
My rabbit has on occasion put his teeth on my skin but not marked it .
I have taught my rabbit when I say kisses she licks me instead of biting. By every time your bun licks you you say a word then everytime your rabbit bites you say kisses or your chosen word, then when he does give a great

                      Hi there,

I’ve got a 4 months old bunny too.
when he first nipped me, he didn’t knew he was hurting me so i made that clear to give a loud sharp shout.
Now whenever he is nibbling (really soft) to get some attention i say “NO” and he starts licking instead.

I think that your bunny is seeking for attention and doesn’t get the part of hurting you and your family.

Hopefully you can make this clear to her, make a high and pretty loud shout, when she startles she will nip you not as hard as before (hopefully) and otherwise spray her with water, this will distract her from the nipping and makes her wash herself.

                      good luck!

I’d try not to shout too loud as rabbits have very sensitive hearing and generally shouldn’t have loud noises near them.
But I agree high pitched noises startle them as they think your hurt. My rabbit panics to me whistling so maybe a little low whistle would help

I think that it depends on the personality of the bunny, if she is frightened easily you don’t have to shout as loud. My bunny couldn’t care less about loud noises, so he isn’t impressed about me shouting.
