Oakley’s ears are always really hot to the point where it actually warms up the back up his neck and shoulders.
Should I be concerned? Does this mean he is over heating? Or is this normal?

It’s normal for bunnies to regulate their body temp via their ears. The ears are big for 2 “reasons”, super-good hearing obviously, but also because the big blood-vessel-filled surface areas of the ears allows for lots of blood to be sent out to be cooled by air. When it’s cold and the bunny is inactive, the ears don’t get a lot of blood sent out into them, so the ears get cold to the touch.

The ears are a poor indicator of core temp though. If a bunny is over-heating, you tend to see panting.

Bunnies don’t do well in temps above ca 27 C or 80 F. If her living-area is around that temp, you should provide her with a cooling-option. Frozen water-bottles wrapped in blankies are often appreciated, just make sure she’s enough space to move away from the cold when she likes to. Here are some more cooling tips: https://binkybunny.com/BUNNYINFO/tabid/53/CategoryID/23/PID/940/Default.aspx
