I’ve had my bunny for about a month now. He’s a 2 and a half month old lionhead. I make sure to get him out and talk to him daily, but I feel like he just doesn’t like me. I’ll let him run around my room and sit on the floor and watch tv, but he never comes up to me. Almost like he’s avoiding me (maybe scared?). I try not to make any sudden movements and talk to him so he becomes familiar with my voice, but he’s very distant. I had a bunny who tragically passed away a couple of months ago, and I bonded with her VERY quickly. She was bought from a pet store (never making that mistake again) and I got him from a breeder. Might that have something to do with it? I just really want to bond with my little bun

All bunnies have different personalities. I had 2 about a year ago and they always avoided me for the first few months I had them. Meanwhile my new bunny loves attention (it took about a month to get trust from her as well). Bunnies from the pet shop aren’t as socialized as breeder bunnies at a young age so it might take a bit longer so just be patient!

I’ve been hand feeding him his pellets for the past week or so an I already see an improvement! I guess it’ll just take time.

And its actually funny, I got my previous bunny at a pet shop and we bonded instantly and she got very comfortable with me very fast, and Jax is from a breeder and has been more stand-offish. I guess the little buns just have very different personalities lol

I have a 4 month old American Checkered Giant. He follows me every where. He is always kissing me will not leave me alone. However, he will not bond or even go near my husband or my kids. Kids are all older. He is very possessive. What is going on?
