so lately if my lux is in her corner under her shelf and i open the cage and put my hand in there she honks at me and runs and bites me like i scared her or something.  Is this normal?  after about 30 seconds shes better and kissing and grooming me.  Also today i saw her laying down legs spread out with her head laying on her side i got kind of scared. also when i put her nose up to my ear i hear very lite whistling sound when she breaths fast.

Make sure when you put your hand in, that she isn’t asleep or dazing out. Ive made this mistake a few times when my buns were little and I was kinda new to it. They definitely don’t like surprises! Buns can also be really territorial of their cages, especially when not spayed or neutered. So, beware of sleeps, blindspots, and be slow!
Laying down legs spread out, I’m assuming she was like, laying on her side? If so, pretty normal, buns do it when they are really tired and really comfortable.
For breathing heavy, pretty normal with my buns, the whistling though may be a sign of respiratory problems. Best to keep an eye on it. Was she playing really hard right before that? Sometimes my buns seem like extreme asthma victims after a big hard run!

Sounds like cage aggression. This is pretty normal for some females. In the wild, the females are in charge of the safety and order of the burrow. I can’t do anything in Olivia’s cage when she’s in there or I get pummeled and honked at.

It is recommended to get females spayed for a number of reasons. Health, possibly live longer, less aggression, all that stuff. I believe the recommended time is 6 months but I’m not positive on that.
