Yesterday when I was picking up my boy and checking his bottom before bringing him into my bed, I noticed teeny tiny patches of grey bumps on both his testicles.  Maybe 5 or 6 in a patch. I can find nothing online supporting what this is. He is eating, playing and seems unaffected by this. Is it just pimples or something more serious? I can post a picture later if that would help.

http://www.examiner.com/list/rabbits-lumps-and-bumps heres a site that may help you figure out what type of bumps they are and the best option for dealing with them. Ive never had these personally with my buns so I’m not of much use lol

Testicles change texture depending on temperature and mood. Sometimes they are smooth and dangly, other times they are wrinkly and close to the body. Of course in bunnies they can totally disappear.

What mode the testicles were in when the bumps appeared would make me more or less concerned. If you normally see them in their smooth dangly state, and the bumps appeared when the testicles happened to be in their wrinkly state, I would think it was just that the change of state made the normally hidden bumps visible. However, if you are used to seeing the testicles in a variety of states and the bumps appeared during the smooth dangly state I would be more concerned.

my bun Hami has a small rice sized bump under his testicle skin….it had happened before and had cured all by itself….but i’m tensed this time coz it has been like 4 or 5 days but the bump is still there….he is totally fine though……but as I love him too much and he is my baby,m too concerned. I live in a small city in India and we have no vet here who is a rabbit specialist. so plz suggest me what should I do.

                Hi bahar!

I think it’s best for you if you start a thread of your own about your rabbit’s lump. You’ll get more answers that way. To start a new thread you go to the subforum you want (Q and A is fine) and click on the big, dark-colored button to the upper left that says + Add Topic. (If you’re having trouble with that, please PM me).

Looking forward to see you in a new thread!

I took my boy to the vet, it is either vent disease or just pimples/blackheads. My girl ended up having a respitorary infection and she has no signs of vents, so I’m watching everyday. Hopefully just a few pimples. It’s been a week and it is still there though. Not worse at least.
