This is Kira. She’s ten months old and 3.6 pounds. What breed do you think she might be? Also do you think she’ll get much bigger? some mentioned she probably has a little harlequin in her, but it doesn’t look very pronounced. Thanks everyone!

Well now I don’t know why the photo won’t load. I’ll try again when I can get on the computer.

Is it the bunny on your profile? If it is then she is most likely a dwarf hotot or a mix breed with a lot of dwarf hotot and won’t surpass 4 pounds.

No. That’s my other bunny. 🙂 her I know. One of her parents was a lion head, the other a dwarf hotot. Though she has almost no evidence of lion head in her. She’s a year old and right at 4 pounds.

I think I got it up there now. Not a inserted pic, but a link to it.

She looks like a harlequin. Some people say harlequin is a breed some people say its what their coloring is called. Im not too sure.

Some websites say that Harlequin is in fact a breed, originating in France and weighing about 6-8 pounds with the ideal being 7.5. The coloration of that breed can also be “Magpie”, where the second color is white rather than orange. (so the rabbit would be black and white patterned instead of black and orange) You can view this information on Wikipedia(dot)com, Rabbitbreeders(dot)us, ect. While some sites claim that Harlequin is just a coloration. In my opinion I guess Harlequin is a breed. But Harlequin is also a color (You could have a harlequin colored holland lop).

Sometimes animal breeds can be confusing!

Whatever she is, she is harlequin colored. If she is a harlequin rabbit, she most likely would not be pure bred. Pure breds should have the color split down the middle so half the face and is one color and the other half is a different color, like so:

It’s very hard to say, I don’t think anybody can tell you for sure. It’s hard to say but she sure is gorgeous!

She’s extremely adorable. I’ve always wanted the harlequin but the lighter mix version that Kira is. We’re not too big in different breeds here. Sadly.

She’s super gorgeous!!!! I am one of those people who call that colour Harlequin. I had a Harlequin Mini-Rex. It’s a beautiful colour. Very striking. (You can see him in my avatar).

Oh, he’s she is most definitively a harlequin mix, but probably not a purebred becuse their is no split of color on the face and the color is faded but it’s still as gorgeous as a purebred!

She has just the slightest hint of vienna markings. She could be a “failed” attempt at getting a tricolor dutch.
