My bunny Sophie is drinking her own pee… constantly. Is this normal behavior? Has anyone else’s bun done this? Maybe she’s missing something in her diet? It’s freaking me out lol. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I recently looked this up because so else asked. It seems some bunnies do this. It’s not associated with any known deficiency and it’s not a sign of illness. If you do a search of the forums you’ll find other threads about this issue.

That is interesting…. Not to be gross, but I’m curious as to how she does this?

My rabbit started doing this once and after a few days I realized it was after I had rearranged the layout of his litterbox and water location… Turned out he couldn’t hop up to the top level where I kept his water without his litterbox there as a step up. So in his case it was dehydration and as soon as I moved the water he stopped drinking his pee.
