Hi. Just wondering does anyone else have a bunny that has grumpy days? Some days Beanie doesn’t even want to come out of his cage. He doesn’t seem interested in playing. He still eats and toilets, if anything he seems to want to eat more! Yesterday he was very sociable, jumping and runnin about. Today he seems like a completely different rabbit. He still comes to the cage door for strokes but doesn’t want to come out. We have only had him just over a week and seems to have had 3 or 4 of these days. Is he ok? Or do you just think it’s part of his personality? Any ideas would be welcomed. Thank you

I would say its part of settling in, plus some days I find our bunnies are more active than others. Mine have all had relatively inactive days today.

I too think it’s him settling in. Imagine how much it must be for a bun to take in: New people, new house, new scents, new everything. His little head must be so full of new impressions =)

As long as he eats heartily and poops like he should, it doesn’t sound like sth is wrong. Appetite and poop are very good for assessing a bunny’s health.

Aww thank you. Yes I think I’m still learning about him too. He is still really happy for head strokes and does pop out for a brief minute. He is currently munching on some hay. I find he only enjoys hay in the evening. Funny little quirks. Hehe!

Is he an only rabbit or do you have others? Mine was like this for so long and we just thought he was anti-social, but since bringing home another bunny he’s changed a million percent, so we think he was just lonely!

Ahh really? Yes he is an only bunny. He has recently ventured in to the lounge area for the first time and really enjoyed it. Sometimes he has very sleepy days and sometimes he is constantly active. Is that just normal? I get so worried sometimes as I’m not sure what ‘normal’ is x
