I bought a pair of black slipper boots with black fuzzy trim. Basically, Ugg boots. Warm and cozy. I can’t wear them in Mr. Binkins presence, because he is terrified of them. At first I thought I just startled him, but every time I tried to walk over to him, he darted away. After a minute of this, he went in his litter box, and I experimentally got my slippered foot close to him, and he reached out, sniffed it, and ran into his cardboard box. I’m not entirely sure WHAT he’s afraid of, but it’s definitely the boots. Silly fluffer. My feet are freezing. Anyone else have rabbits that are afraid of odd things?

Haha! I guess he thinks they’re two big black weird-smelling rabbits invading his territory =)

You may have to do bonding-sessions with him and the boots =)

Bunny bonding with boots! *grabs the camera*

My oldest, Midnight, haaates when I put on any type of shoes. Most of the time, when I put on shoes, that means Im leaving and bunny play time is over, so, she sees shoes, and, she runs for dear life! There is this one pillow we have from when I was little, has little beans in it instead of fluff. I dunno why, but, both my buns hate it. I even put it near them and they either run from it as fast as their little feet can carry them, or they start boxing at it until its away from them enough to run.

This reminds me of something that happened with my friend’s black cat when he was still alive. I had a pair of black mittens, and the tops were faux fur. When I went to leave her house one time, I could only find one of them. After a few minutes of searching, we found him grooming it. He had apparently decided it was his baby, since they looked the same. I don’t think he ever quite forgave me for taking his baby away.

I’m imagine all sorts of possibilities with bonding him with the boots. I’m also slightly afraid to leave them where he can find them. He may try to, *ahem* show them who’s boss. XD

Lillian, that’s funny. I’ve never seen him afraid of anything. The vacuum makes him a little nervous, but not as much as I imagined it would. He’s never been afraid of anything in the house, just the occasional thump at loud noises, smells through the window, or the smell of cooking meat. Which fortunately he got over after a while.

There’s never been anything in the house that’s made him this nervous. Although I do suppose that he’s never been around shoes much. We have a no shoes in the house policy. People have broken it a few times, so when he HAS encountered shoes on people’s feet, they’ve mostly been sitting down. I’m honestly not sure if he’s ever come into contact with moving shoes. It must be unsettling only being a few inches off the ground. And the boots are bigger than him.

My little guy is TERRIFIED of moths. Sometimes he gets upset for “no reason”, and I noticed one night that there was a moth chilling around his bed. The next couple of nights, I noticed that the moth was still hanging around, and Sheriff was still pretty pissed. I let it out, and there hasn’t been an issue until the occasional moth appears again.
