Not sure where this belongs or if it is allowed, but:

I was browsing the craigslist pet page recently and someone made a post giving away her rabbit because she thinks it hurt its hind leg two weeks ago. According to her post the rabbit can still run around fine, but the leg sticks out. I guess she isn’t willing to take the bunny to the vet and instead has decided to give her away for free.

My question is how badly do you guys think this leg is broken and how easy is it to fix considering it hasn’t been treated for 2 weeks. I know its hard without actually looking at the leg, but maybe someone who has had a broken rabbit leg could give an estimate? I would love to take this rabbit in and get her treated and find her a new home, but price is an issue. I can afford an xray and treatment that costs a couple hundred dollars, but anything in the thousands I most likely cannot do without help.

Do you guys think I should take the rabbit in or leave her in hopes that someone else will take her? Should I tell the woman to give her to a shelter?

        thanks
